Transform U's Warrior Journey

How It Works

The Coaching Process

I get asked these questions all the time, “What does Coaching look like? What can I expect to get out of coaching? How does it work?” Those are all great questions. The best way I can explain the coaching process is to emphasize the relationship it’s built on. Coaching is an active partnership; a dynamic relationship between the coach and client where we co-create your vision. It is a journey that will take you through discovery, awareness, and choice. The premise of coaching is the belief that the client is creative, resourceful, and whole. In other words, you have all the answers for your life inside of you – you just need someone to help you discover them. My goal for you is simple; I want you to become the person you long to be.

Workshops

I didn’t realize it when I was homeschooling my kids but I love teaching. It’s a huge part of what drives me. Workshops are one of my favorite things to do because I’m able to make deeper connections with more people. Many of these people are hurting, confused, doubting themselves, walking around with no self-confidence or wanting more out of life.

My workshops are not only educational but also interactive. This allows the participants to engage and connect with others in attendance.  They are inspired to immediately implement their newly acquired skills.

Participants leave armed with tools, resources and an action plan to move forward personally and professionally.  Attendees learn:

  • New Skills to Face Life’s Disruptions
  • A Deeper Understanding of Who They Are
  • Useful Tools to Use Immediately
  • Insights to Recognize Emotional Triggers

Master Mind Groups

What is a mastermind group? The term master mind was first coined by Think and Grow Rich author Napoleon Hill. Hill had researched hundreds of the most successful people in the world including Andrew Carnegie, one of the most famous and wealthiest industrialists of his day. Carnegie attributed his success to ‘the sum total of the minds’ of his business associates.  Carnegie called this combined brain power a ‘master mind’.

Master minds are still relevant today and recognized as one of the most powerful alliances to promote growth, change and innovation. The purpose of the master mind is for the mutual improvement and success of the individuals and the group itself. The power of the master mind can take you further than you could ever go alone.

I love the energy and power of these groups. The master minds I facilitate are composed of a select group of like-minded individuals working together to support and help each member of the group succeed. As a facilitator of the group, I utilize leadership concepts based on the principles of the John Maxwell’s Team Curriculum.  I challenge the group’s current level of thinking and encourage them to look much deeper than the surface.

Mastermind Groups:

  • Add the Component of a Valuable Support Network
  • Drive Results
  • Offer the Advantage of Peer Brainstorming, Accountability and Support
  • Leverage the Power of Many Minds

Keynote Speaking

I am passionate about communicating a message to my audiences that inspires, motivates, and challenges them to think and act differently; both personally and professionally.  In my presentations I incorporate both the magical ingredient of storytelling as well as powerful interactive breakout sessions. This discovery, participation and involvement process stimulates engagement so that my audiences have a clearer knowledge of what they need to do to promote the change they want.

My goal is that the attendees hear a life enriching message that transforms their thinking. My desire is that they are more effective after they’ve attended the event than had they not attended. It’s important that they have key take-aways and can answer the following questions after the event:

  • “What do you now know that you didn’t before?”
  • “What can you do now that you couldn’t do before?”
  • “How have your feelings and attitudes changed and improved as a result of the training?”

Topics Include:

  • Finding Your Authentic Self
  • Managing Stress and Building Resilience
  • Self-Empowerment
  • Acquiring a Warrior Mindset
  • Focusing Your Energy on Your Purpose

“Go back?”  He thought.  “No good at all.”  “Go sideways, impossible.  Go forward, only thing to do! On we go!”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit

Red Dot: Discovery
Have you ever been to an unfamiliar shopping mall, airport or business park where you needed to use a map directory? You might see a red dot on the map saying, “You are here.” That, in a nutshell, describes the start of the coaching journey. You find where you are then locate where you want to go.  You connect the dots and chart a course to get there.  A side note is that many people want something in their life to be different but they don’t know what it is. These “unknowns” surface during coaching; it’s part of the discovery process.

Although coaching is unique and customized to the needs/wants/goals of each client, there is a general process that skilled coaches utilize.  I don’t just babysit my clients or help them solve problems. Problems will be solved along the way but my job is to help them become who they were designed to be. Let’s look at what that looks like.

Look well into thyself; there is a source of strength which will always spring up if thou wilt always look.
Marcus Aurelius

Finding Clarity: Awareness
The number 1 key to performance is self-awareness. I like to describe clarity as the opposite of confusion.  It’s getting a clear view of yourself to un-muddy your own waters. The power of coaching creates self-awareness and awareness is the secret weapon to initiate change. Once you have a clearer understanding of yourself, others, and your circumstances, you can make rational decisions based on reason not on emotions or frustration. Basically you gain tools to improve your performance.

Your Transformational Life Plan includes the following assessments:

  • Core Values
  • Needs
  • 7 Index Passion Assessment
  • Strengths
  • Character Traits

These assessments reveal key information about your inner core which drives behavior. Successful people are those who know and understand themselves, can assess their situations, and create success strategies.

This self-awareness not only raises your emotional intelligence, it also reveals your why – your purpose. People with higher emotional intelligence are those who know their core values and live accordingly. When having to respond to critical decisions, values-driven people are able to act quickly and appropriately; which is at the core of excellent performance.

Without clarity in your purpose, you cannot tell an opportunity from a distraction.

Charting a Course: Goal Setting and Strategy
Once you have more of a sense of your why, or greater purpose, we start designing the life you want to have. Goals give you the specific plan of how to get what you want out of life; they are your stepping stones to success.  Together we co-create a specific plan with measurable action steps to get you there. Many people come to me because of presenting concerns or problems. The truth of the matter is that problems are just a symptom of what lies beneath.  There is always something deeper to discover that includes deeper thinking, creating, and action.  Here is where we put wheels on the bus – action steps that are results-oriented.  We create reserves that allow you to build a stronger foresight with high standards. All of these actions help you move the needle to get the results you want.
Developing Your Inner Core: Choice
Here is where we build upon your infrastructure. In the same way that a building constructed properly can weather any storm, your personal foundation is designed to serve the same purpose.  It is your unique infrastructure that supports you living a life of greater clarity, strength and confidence – one that is whole and complete.  While society is obsessed with fixing weaknesses, coaching focuses on strengths.  Together we invest energy in developing your inner core. Your inner core is multi-faceted and consists of your:

  • Values
  • Character Traits
  • Thinking Patterns
  • Self-Concept
  • Emotions

Since your inner core drives your outer core, strengthening your inner core has a positive effect on your behavior. It gives you the power of choice. Learning how to operate out of your strength’s zone empowers you to have the confidence you need to take charge of your life and the choices you make.

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be.  Now put the foundations under them.  Henry David Thoreau, Walden

Accountability: Staying on Track
Coaching helps you create new mindsets and positive behaviors.  It takes focused strategies to replace habits that didn’t work in the past.  In order to make those shifts, fieldwork and life coaching exercises are part of your coaching process.  You will utilize new tools and develop strong skill sets to help you follow-through with your goals.

Together we determine your own method of accountability.  I support you all along the way.  As a seasoned Life Coach, I am not afraid to utilize direct communication, ask tough questions, and make strong requests of you to help you stay the course. Your success matters not only to you but to me as well.   Helping you find courage that is instilled in your warrior DNA is what drives me –it fills me with energy every single day. All of this is part of the empowering process of coaching.
